entrepreneur and idealist.
After my education at Nyenrode University (International Business School), I became a diamond merchant. From 1974 to 1982 I worked as an export manager - with an emphasis on Scandinavia - at a Swiss company in brilliant jewellery. After that I focused on devising, developing and marketing technical and social innovations. Based on "Bio-mimi-cri" I am currently working on the combination of ink protection to prevent clothing theft "CombiClip" with RFID (Radio Frequency Identification - chip technology), which optimises the entire Supply Chain Management System (Track & Trace) within European Clothing Affiliates.
On my 50th birthday in 1998, I initiated the construction of a school for casteless students in Southeast India in Thiruvertriyur. In 1999 we started with 27 students; 20 years later in 2018, this number exceeded over a thousand children. In all those years, several thousand children were able to obtain their diplomas and thus make the start in the further development of a solid existence. I am happy that I was able to make a small contribution to Education.
From 2009 to 2014 I was chairman of the Philharmonic Orchestra 's Hertogenbosch (FOH). In that period I was allowed to be the initiator of the FOH Youth Orchestra and compose the Brabant Symphony. This way, I was able to contribute to culture.
From 2015-2017 I was chairman of the Dierentehuis 's Hertogenbosch. During this period I took the initiative to draw up the policy memorandum "Animal welfare in 's-Hertogenbosch". With this I was able to contribute something to nature.
In 2016 I was the initiator of the National Youth Breakfast Foundation. The foundation aims to provide children, who for all sorts of reasons have to start their day without breakfast, with 7 free nutritious breakfasts every week. This offers them a solid basis for a day in which they can develop themselves in a way they are entitled to. This way I can contribute something to the well-being of young schoolchildren.
